Congratulations to the SLMS academic team for their strong performance at the KAAC Governor's Cup State Finals. Along with over 300 other schools around the state, the SLMS team began competition at the district level in January. The team was district champions and regional champions thereby earning a berth in the state finals. The quick recall team finished in 3rd place and is pictured above receiving their trophy from Governor Andy Beshear. In individual content assessment, Michael Sparkman placed 4th in Social Studies and Taylor Strunk finished 4th in Arts & Humanities. This is among the nearly 1,000 students who they competed against beginning at the district level. Congratulations guys on another incredible season!
