Voices of Hope Flyer

Laurel County Health in Motion Coalition will be hosting the Voices of Hope poetry contest again this year!

This years poetry contest will focus on mental health awareness and advocacy by encouraging students to share their stories. As advocates for mental health education and de-stigmatization, we believe that creative expression, such as poetry, can be a powerful tool for fostering understanding and support.

The contest aims to provide students with a platform to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to mental health in a safe and supportive environment. Through poetry, participants will have the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, raise awareness about mental health issues, and inspire others.

We would like to extend an invitation to all Middle and Highschool Students in Laurel County to participate in this event! By encouraging students to take part, you would not only be supporting their creative expression but also prompting important conversations about mental health within your school community.

In the guidelines, we have included the option for students to submit hand-types poems to the Youth Service Center. To see the guidelines, please click here.
