Sublimity Elementary School

Laurel County Public Schools is pleased to announce Mrs. Melissa Farris as the new Principal of Sublimity Elementary.
A long-time member of the Sublimity Elementary School family, Mrs. Farris moves to the role of Principal after serving 21 years in a classroom at Sublimity Elementary.
Mrs. Farris earned her Bachelor’s degree from Berea College in Elementary Education and received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Principalship and Rank 1 in Special Education from the University of the Cumberlands.
Mrs. Farris says she is very excited to have the opportunity to serve as Principal at such an amazing school!  She explained, "It is my goal for Sublimity to continue to grow by maintaining our focus on doing what is best for our students."
Mrs. Farris, when not at school, enjoys spending time with her family, going on road trips, and trying out unique restaurants.
