Fifth grade students have been eagerly anticipating Market Day, and it has finally arrived! For weeks, they have been earning "Ro(ark) Bucks" for good grades and positive behavior. They developed their own goods, services, and shops, and then sold their wares to their classmates. We are so proud of these hardworking Eagles! #johnsonsoars #johnsoneagles #sokidscandogreatthings

Wow! What a wonderful Read Across America week we had a Johnson Elementary! We were visited by so many fantastic people and read so many fun books. There were lawyers, librarians, a youth minister, police officers, judges, a hair stylist, a forest ranger, high school students, paramedics (ambulance AND flight), the sheriff, firefighters, the Chamber of Commerce CEO, Zola the Rescue Squad search dog, and more! Laurel County is truly an amazing community that embraces and supports our kids, and we are so thankful for that.
