Hazel Green Elementary School

All HG students, K - 5, received a copy of Wish by Barbara O’Connor. We are reading the book together with the goal of building school unity and harnessing the magic of read-aloud. To kickoff this initiative, students gathered in the gym and tossed pennies in a wishing well to make their own wish. Each class also made a wish for our school, and we are going to make one of those wishes come true at the end of our reading! We also have weekly trivia challenges and other activities focused around the book.
