Mike Holliday joins the Laurel County Schools Police Department with over 23 years of law enforcement experience.
Officer Holliday served 20 years with the London City Police Department retiring as a Sergeant in 2018. During his service with the City of London Police Department, he was a firearms instructor, K-9 officer, Rapid Deployment Instructor, RAD Instructor, Special Reaction Team member, and a School Resource Officer.
Officer Holliday most recently has served as a Court Security Officer at the Federal Courthouse in London.
Officer Holliday says, “I am pleased to be back in the Laurel County School system as a School Resource Officer (SRO). Being an SRO seems to be in my blood, and I enjoy every single day that I get to help protect our students and staff. I look forward to helping do my part in making the Laurel County School Police Department the best that it can be. I am honored that Dr. Bennett and Chief Bobby Day have put their trust in me and the other SRO’s to do our part and make this program one of the best in the state."
Officer Holliday has been married to his beautiful wife for 23 years and is father to a daughter who is in middle school and a son who is a senior.
