Cold Hill Elementary is one of the 365 schools recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The top education official in each state nominates public schools for the award.
Superintendent Denise M. Griebel shared, "The Cold Hill staff, students, and community deserve this honor. It is evident that
student learning is central at Cold Hill Elementary. All stakeholders play a role in creating, cultivating, and celebrating the achievements of every Cold Hill Cub! The National Blue Ribbon Schools Award acknowledges Cold Hill's academic excellence as a high-performing school, not only among Laurel County Schools but within the state of Kentucky and across the nation.
