Laurel County Public Schools is happy to add three highly experienced police officers to the Laurel County Public Schools Police Department. Officers Travis Dotson, Justin Hopkins, and Jessie Williams add a combined 60 years of law enforcement experience to the Department. We appreciate Hon. John Chappell, District Judge for Knox-Laurel Counties, for swearing in the most recent members of our growing force.

The Laurel County Schools Police Department is comprised of 19 full-time certified police officers (including one Laurel County Sheriff deputy) who serve as School Resource Officers (SRO) daily at every school and athletic event. The Laurel County Public Schools Police Department works closely with the London Police Department, the Laurel County Sheriff's Department, and local emergency, fire, and rescue departments in maintaining safe schools through regular joint training exercises.
