Mrs. Jaline Jackson has been named the new Principal at McDaniel Learning Center. Mrs. Jackson moves to this role after serving the last two years as School Counselor and Educational Diagnostician at the McDaniel Learning Center and Laurel County Schools.
Mrs. Jackson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from the University of Kentucky and her Master of Art degree in School Guidance Counseling from Morehead State University. She holds a Rank 1-Educational Specialist degree in School Guidance Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and an Endorsement in Individual Intellectual Assessment from Murray State University. Mrs. Jackson is currently pursuing a Specialist in Education degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Eastern Kentucky University.
Mrs. Jackson has nearly 15 years of education experience serving as a Family and Consumer Science teacher and School Counselor.
Mrs. Jackson says, "McDaniel Learning Center is a hidden gem within the Laurel County School District. McDaniel Learning Center provides a nurturing environment that promotes student success by helping students meet their individual challenges. As principal, I look forward to maintaining a student-centered approach that supports student growth, collaborating with my fellow administrators to provide ample educational opportunities for our students, and forging new partnerships with valuable community resources. It is thrilling to be a part of such an amazing program, and I am excited about this new endeavor!"
In her free time, Mrs. Jackson enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and puppies. In addition, she enjoys coaching little league softball and working on her family farm.
