Laurel County Public Schools is pleased to announce Mrs. Kristina Thomas as the Director of Accountability and Elementary Education. Mrs. Thomas has most recently been serving as Principal of the nationally recognized Sublimity Elementary for the last six years.
Mrs. Thomas earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Middle School Education from Alice Lloyd College. She received her Master's in Special Education K-12 at Union College, and her Rank in Educational Leadership in Principalship and Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Supervisor of Instruction from University of the Cumberlands.
Mrs. Thomas joins the district leadership team with an extensive education background, including serving as a teacher at North Laurel Middle School and as an Assistant Principal in the Madison County school system.
Mrs. Thomas says, "I am excited to have the opportunity to work with our team of amazing Elementary Principals and to continue providing great educational opportunities for the wonderful students of Laurel County.”
